Born in St Peters Cape Breton - David has been performing and writing songs for twenty years now. Beginning in the mid to late eighties in and around Toronto, on to traveling across the country with his band Strachan's Cove - Jamie Snider and Al Parrish - David has been singing about the place he comes from - Atlantic Canada - her history and stories - tall ships - sailors - their triumphs and struggles. David now has ten CDs to his credit and is currently working on number 11 - At Home, to be released later this year (2010)...David is currently employed 6 months of the year at the Maritime Museum in Halifax where he writes historical folk songs and sings traditional and original sea songs and chanteys on a weekly basis...2008 saw the release of his long awaited "Colours of Cape Breton CD, a project many years in the writing and recording.
