Bruce Laing is a naturally gifted Singer/Songwriter/Performer born in Weston, Ontario on July 18, 1960...Bruce was singing "If My Daddy Were President" at the age of two, according to his mother, Adelaide...he could read and distinguish "Campbell Soup Labels" at that same age as well, and was entered into the foray of Public School at 5 with great promise...he attained high marks throughout his schooling years, and acquired his first drum set at the age of 5...Bruce proceeded to hone his skills as a drummer , and vocalist with the band SHOOZ, based in Georgetown, Ontario until 1980...at that time, Bruce began composing songs with Acoustivc Guitar and Piano...the song "Alone" on his upcoming September 2007 Debut Album Release "A Dream", is the first song Bruce ever wrote...Mr. Laing has composed over 100 original songs in the genres of Pop, Rock, and Country, and is thrilled at the upcoming fruition of his "Dream" to be a full fledged Professional Recording Artist...Bruce cites Elton John, Bernie Taupin, John Winston Lennon, James Paul McCartney, George Harrison and Richard Starkey as his idols, and songwriting mentors...Bruce is also the Promotion Director for the Beaches Blues Fest, and The Danforth Music Festival...to listen to some of Mr. Laing's compositions, please go to www.myspace.com/brucelaing...and feel free to go to www.facebook.com, to add Bruce Laing as your friend...peace...b...
